The race for car driving continues to heat up. Automakers around the world are eager to make fun of their latest autonomous capabilities. More recently, we have seen a Volvo self-parking system and a look at the plans of Nissan. Last week, Toyota became the latest car manufacturer to show his hand, offering a look at its automated highway driving assist, a feature that should be available within the next two or three years.

Automated road Toyota driving Assistant is a two part system that takes control of acceleration and deceleration lane on highways. AHDA represent a greater capacity, the next version of generation of features that are available today. It is the latest commercial technology advanced research of active safety of Toyota vehicle.

The first part of the system is adaptive cruise by cooperative, essentially one next-gen automated control cruise control. The system uses communications in your vehicle to 700 MHz band to collect data from acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle forward and maintain a safe following distance and uniform. Toyota says this reduces the unnecessary acceleration and deceleration, improve fuel efficiency and reduce traffic congestion.

The second part, of AHDA is Lane Control track, Toyota is describes as a more advanced system of Rails form keeping. Current-generation rail systems simply provide a warning or minimum amount of feedback from address when the vehicle begins to move away from the rail, but Lane Trail Toyota adjusts the steering angle, torque and braking to keep driving line within the lane. It uses a combination of cameras of high performance, millimeter-wave radar and control software. Compared to keep lanes, Lane Trace Control can operate at higher speeds and work within a wide range of driving conditions, including sharper road curves.
